About the Yellowstone Film Ranch Studios

broken image

As the founder and president of Ponderosa films, Carter Boehm oversees the day-to-day running of the film company, which his father started in 2015. He named the company after his father's production house. Carter Boehm is also responsible for developing the Yellowstone Film Ranch Studios.

Located in Montana, the Yellowstone film ranch is a vast filming location available for rent for different sets. The ranch consists of an operational western town backlot, medieval sets, prairie and forested woodland, and a spacious production office. The office houses a costume and prop house, studio space, green screen, and space to build sets.

The lot is styled after a late 1980s gold rush in Paradise valley in Montana. It offers a 360-degree view of hills, Emigrant peaks, and glacier mountain peaks. Yellowstone Ranch consists of 30 structures that include functional sets, support buildings, facades, and two intersection streets. Among the 30 structures is a church with preacher's quarters, a jail with a sheriff's office, a bank with authentic 1860s counters, a saloon with a brothel, a mine entrance, and a guest house.

The support structures have interchangeable interior sets, with period sets scattered around the expansive landscape, which includes a log cabin by a stream and a prairie house. There are four to five-star lodges for the production staff, several high-end dining and catering options, and other conveniences within five minutes from the ranch. Typical clients include studio pictures, commercials, independents, and series.
