Carter Boehm is the founder and president of Ponderosa Film in Vienna, Virginia. During his career in film, Carter Boehm has served as executive producer on a number of projects, including the 2022 films Terror on the Prairie and Murder at Yellowstone City.
Terror on the Plains stars Gina Carano as Hattie McAllister and Nick Searcy as Captain Miller. Directed by Michael Polish from a Josiah Nelson script, the Western follows Carano’s McAllister as she deals with a band of outlaws out for revenge against her family.
Murder at Yellowstone is another 2022 Western filmed at Ponderosa Film. Written by Eric Belgau and directed by Richard Gray, the story takes place in Yellowstone City, Montana, shortly after the arrival of Cicero, a former slave played by Isaiah Mustafa. His arrival coincides with the discovery of gold and a murder, sending the depressed boomtown into a frenzy.
The Western film Rust starring Alec Baldwin has also filmed at Ponderosa Film. Non-Western films shot at the studio include Broken Ghost and Robert the Bruce.
